|The history of the construction of the collections begins with the first acquisitions of works of art, and then of photographs and posters, collected on the occasion of and thanks to the intense exhibition activity begun in 1968 within the Palazzo della Pilotta and promoted by Istituto di Storia dell’arte. In 1979 the project department was inaugurated and in the following years the collection of fashion sketches began, followed by the one of clothes and costumes for cinema and theater.|
